Cohort Growth Report [Edcite Schools Feature]

This feature is available as part of our premium platform, Edcite Schools. To learn more about Edcite Schools, click here.

1. Go to your Reports Hub and select the Cohort Growth Report in the column titled Growth.

2. Select either the Teacher Assigned or the District Distributed tab across the top of the pop up. Checkbox to the left of the assessment you'd like to view and then click Confirm.

3. The first thing to do once the report opens is to ensure that the assessments you selected are in the correct order. You can do this by clicking the Change / View the Assignment Order used in Growth button. Assessments should be ordered chronologically from top to bottom. To move an assessment, click and drag its name. Click the Apply button to update the order of the assessments.

4. The graph will display overall student growth on the assignments that have been selected. You can toggle between a Domain and a Standard view. Hovering your cursor on one of the bars will display the full description of the domain/standard.

5. You can adjust what data is shown in the graph in the following ways:
  1. Group By: look at growth by student, class, teacher, or school.
  2. Domains: select which domains for which you'd like to view data.
  3. Standards: select which standards you'd like to see in the report.
  4. Classes / Student Groups: select specific classes or student groups for which you'd like to display data.
  5. Assignments: change which assignments for which you'd like to compare growth.
If you add any filters, click the Apply button to update the data that is shown in the report. You can print the graph by clicking the Print icon.

6. Scrolling down the page, you will see two tables.
  1. The first table shows each student's name and their growth in either domains or standards. A green arrow indicates growth while a red arrow indicates decline.
  2. The second table lists each standard as well as the initial average, recent average, overall average, and growth for each standard.
If desired, customize the columns to only show specific columns in the table. You can export each table as a CSV or copy them to your clipboard.
