          Bubble Sheet Printing Instructions
  1. Bubble Sheets can be printed for any teacher assignment that:

    1. is assigned to a class or to students

    2. has only multiple choice questions, with up to 5 choices each, and no more than 25 questions/parts in all

  2. Where do I find the link?

The Print Bubblesheets button is available on the My Assignments page, for an eligible assignment, under Actions -> Manage.

  1. On clicking on the Manage button, the Manage window pops up with the "Print Bubble Sheets" button as shown below.


  1. Click on the “Print Bubble Sheets” button to print the sheets as shown below. Ensure that the print layout is in Portrait Mode.

  1. One sheet will be printed per student, with each sheet having the 

    1. student name (student ID) and assignment name (assignment ID)

    2. QRCode containing the student ID and assignment ID. 

       Bubble Sheet Grader Instructions:
  1. Once students have answered the bubble sheets, teachers can grade them through the Grading page.

  2. The button for the Bubble Sheet Grader will show only for those assignments for which the bubble sheets have been previously printed.

  3. The button will be available on the assignment grading page as shown below. 

  1. Click on the 'Grade Bubble Sheet' button to open the Bubble Sheet Grader. 

  2. Scan the answered bubble sheets into the system. Make sure the sheets are aligned correctly and are not inverted, and only bubble sheets are scanned (and not the instruction sheets).

  3. Step 1: Load the scanned PDF into the bubble sheet grader. 


Click on the Select PDF button and select the scanned <assignID>.pdf. You will see the sheets appear page wise, as shown below. 

You can navigate through pages by changing the page number in the edit box and hitting the Enter key.

Step 2: Click the 'Grade All' button to start the grading.

           The grading is done in two steps:

  1. The first step will read all the sheets and process the student choices. If there are any errors in detecting the student information from the QRCode, the grader will prompt you to choose the student and assignment for the corresponding page (visible on the left of the screen).  


When all the sheets have been processed, you can review the scanned choices at this stage and correct them if needed.

  1. The second and final step will submit the student choices to the Edcite Grading Page. From this step, student answers will be shown in all Edcite Reports and cannot be undone unless the student's submission is unsubmitted by the admin.

  1. Preprocess tab: Once the scanned sheets are processed, the Preprocess tab will open up with each student's choices for each question shown in a table.


  1. If any answer is not scanned correctly, you may see a brown check or a brown cross icon against the student's answer. Hover over the icon to see the accompanying explanation.



  1. You can click on the student's name in the second column to switch to the student's bubble sheet. On switching to the bubble sheet, you will see a draggable form next to the bubble sheet that will allow you to edit student choices. Click the 'Save' button on the form to save your changes into the Preprocess tab.


  1. In the Preprocess Scanned Results table, you can also expand/collapse student rows to see their choices and edit them.

  1. When you are done editing, select the checkboxes against the students whose work you wish to submit. Hit the Submit Button. You can now see the results on the Grading Page for the assignment.
