Admin/Sub Admin- Creating a District Distribution [Edcite Schools Feature]

District Distributions are created when an Edcite Sub Admin pushes an assessment out to a class/group of classes. Every student who receives the assessment will take the exact same test, and the data for all students/classes will show in the same single assessment reports.

In order to Distribute an exam, you must first have the assessment in a shared Edcite Schools folder. If you already know how to do this, skip to step 4!

From your teacher home:
1. Create or find an exam

2. Lock Exam by ensuring that the assessment is active, then clicking on the lock button near the top right of the assessment. This makes it a "Common Assessment" that others cannot edit.

3.  Share the assessment into an Edcite Schools folder by selecting Edcite Schools Folders at the top of the pop up, selecting the folder, and clicking on Add.

When steps 1-3 are complete, switch to your administrator page.

1. Select Content, District Assignments.

2. Checkbox the square to the left of the assessment you'd like to distribute. Hover over Assignment Options and select Create Distribution.
Tip: Copy the name of the assessment, so you can use it to name the distribution as well.

3. You will be prompted to name the Distribution and place it in a Distribution Folder (if your school/district uses folders for this).

4.  Use the following options to set up your distribution:
  1. Settings: Any settings input here will override the Assignment Settings. Click here for more information on Distribution settings.
  2. Set Performance Bands: Edit the names, cut scores, and colors you would like users to see on Reports that include performance bands
  3. Assign Classes: Select this button to search for and assign to classes across your school/district
  4.  Notify:  Use these two buttons to notify students and/or teachers that the distribution has been sent
  5. Use the table at the bottom of the page to identify which Classes/Teachers/Students have been assigned the Distribution
