Archiving Assignments

How to Archive an Assignment

1. From the navigation bar to the left of your screen, select Assignments, My Assignments.

2. Choose the assignment(s) you would like to Archive by selecting the box(es) to the left of the assignment name(s).

3. Click the Archive button near the top of the page.

4. A pop-up box will open and you can:
  1. Create an "Archive name prefix." We suggest using the school year the assessment was used.
  2. Make a copy of the assignment to assign to different students.
  3. Add a prefix to the name of the new copy.
Then, click the orange Archive Assignment button to the bottom right of the pop up.

If you are an Edcite Schools customer looking to create fresh copies of your common assessments, you will want to first unlock your original copies and then proceed with archiving. This can be done for individual assessments using the pathway above or in bulk using the Archive Tool (click here for a help guide). After the new copy is made, you will need to lock it again and share it into the appropriate Edcite Schools folder for teachers to access. For guidance on how to bulk lock/unlock assessments, please reach out to support@edcite.com.
