How to Create Subfolders for Assignments and Questions (Teachers)

Edcite provides a folder structure to organize your assignments and questions. Every teacher has private folders for organizing content in their individual account. If you have an Edcite Schools account, you will also have access to Shared Folders (similar to Google Drive or One Drive) in the section marked School Folders. For more information about Edcite Schools, our premium platform, click here.

1. To create a subfolder for assignments, click on Assignments and then My Assignments on the navigation bar to the left. To create a subfolder for questions, click on Questions and then My Questions on the navigation bar to the left.

2. Click on the folder you want to create a subfolder for (3rd Grade ELA in the example below).  Once it is highlighted in green, select the + button above the folder tree to create a subfolder for the selected folder.
  1. Note: This can be done with any Edcite Schools folder to which you have Manage access. If you are not able to create a subfolder, you may have Read Only (View) access to the folder. When you add a subfolder to an Edcite Schools folder, access is automatically extended to anyone who has access to the root folder.

3. Enter the new subfolder's name in the space provided and click the Submit button at the bottom right of the pop up. The new subfolder will appear on the left hand side of the page under the root folder.
