Assignments - Send to Students

How to Assign an Assignment to Students

You can send assignments to students from the following places on Edcite:

  1. Assignments Library

  2. Assignment Editor

  3. My Assignments page

  4. Collections page

  5. Common Assessments page (Edcite Schools only)

The Assignment Scheduler works the same way in most locations. Follow the directions below based on where you are starting.

1) Sending from the Assignments Library

The Assignments Library contains teacher-created assignments that have been shared to the public library, as well as curated assignments such as state-aligned assessments, OER resources, and partner content (e.g., Student Achievement Partners and Eureka Math). You can assign these assignments as-is, save them to your account, or modify them before assigning.

Step 1: Click Assign

Find the assignment you want and click the Assign button.

Step 2: Use the Assignment Scheduler

Choose how you want to send the assignment:

  • Assign to Classes – Select one or more classes

  • Assign to Students – Select individual students

  • Assign to Groups – Select student groups

  • Assign with Quick Link – Share the link in Google Classroom or display it for students (more info on using Quick Links here)

✔ Check the box next to your selection
✔ (Optional) Set a start and end date/time
✔ Click Assign

Step 3: Confirmation

After assigning, you will see a confirmation box with three options:

  • Close – Return to the Library

  • Manage Assignment – Add more classes, students, or groups

  2. Select your Class(es) from the dropdown menu

  3. Choose a Start Date and Time

  4. Select Recurring Days (if desired)

All assignments in the Collection will now be scheduled.
