Question Type - Animation Answer - Volume (#110)

Question Type - Animation Answer - Volume (#110)

The "Animation Answer - Volume" allows students to demonstrate understanding by setting numeric values through intuitive, visual actions. The item type is designed to support standards-aligned measurement, estimation, and quantitative reasoning across subjects and grade levels.

The Animation Value Item Type supports two interaction modes:

  • Overlay Slider
Students drag a horizontal or vertical slider placed on an image. This mode is well suited for tasks involving temperature, elevation, or position along a scale.

  • Fill / Level Interaction
Students adjust the level inside a defined region of an image, such as filling a container to a target amount or showing water depth.

Both modes map student interaction to a numeric response, allowing for straightforward scoring while preserving instructional flexibility.

  2. Set the Initial Value- the number students will see when they first open the question

  4. If you'd like, add in a tolerance other than 0. This will be how far from the answer students can be and still earn credit.
Under Ticks and Labels:

  2. Include Numeric Labels
