Sub Admin - Copying an Assessment from a Featured Collection for your District [Edcite Schools Feature]

This feature is available as part of our premium platform, Edcite Schools. To learn more about Edcite Schools, click here.

This guide assumes you have access to an Edcite Schools sub-admin (or admin) account with permission to access Edcite Schools assignment folders. If you have a regular teacher account, here is a guide. If you need help setting up folders or giving folder access, here is a guide on User Management or you can email schools@edcite.com with the subject “Folder Setup” for help.

  1. Login to your sub admin (or admin) account.

  1. In the top menu, choose Content → Featured Collections.

  1. On the Featured Collections page, browse the lower set of collections they should say "All Featured Collections" or "[Subject] Collections" if you have a subject selected. You can use the subject / grade selector and if you select All you will see all available collections

  1. Click the collection that you want to get an assessment from - we have collections from Content partners (Achieve the Core, Illustrative Math, PhET and more) as well as collections from specific teachers on Edcite that are great!

  1. On the Collection page, browse for the assessment you want. Click … → Copy to copy the assessment. To test out an assessment, you can click Preview for a flat view.

    1. Note - if you are in an admin account, you must click Preview --> Student View --> Customize instead of ... ---> Copy.

    2. From Preview, you can click Student View to view the full student experience.

    3. Previewing will open a new tab where you can continue with step 6, but you can return to your previous tab and copy additional assignments if you want.

  1. In the new tab, you will see the assignment name. Click Save to save it to your account. The final step is to share it to Edcite Schools assignment folders. Click Share and then select the School Folder that you want to share to.

  1. The folder will turn green when selected and you can click Add. Once the assignment is shared to a folder, it can be distributed across classes. Click here for how to send a district distributed assessment. Click here for how to lock this and make it a teacher assigned common assessment. If no folders appear, email schools@edcite.com for help
