How to Grade District Distributed Common Assessments [Edcite Schools Feature]

Grading A District Distrubuted Assessment

1. From the navigation bar on the left of your screen, select Common Assessments and select the District Distributed tab.



2. Find the Assignment within this list of distributed assignments and click the Grade button under "Actions."



From here, the Grade Page will open, and you have the option to grade one of four ways:

  1. Grade by Student: Grade one student's exam from start to finish, with the ability to see student work for students who tested online
  2. Grade by Question: Grade the same question for all students, with the ability to see student work for students who tested online 
  3. Grid View: Enter scores for all students (similar to typing in points to an Excel/Google Sheet)
  4. Grade Bubble Sheet: Scan and grade bubble sheets. Click here for more information on Bubble Sheets.


Grade by Student and Grade by Question Tips:
  1. Click the orange + sign next to a student's name to see their work and additional options.
  2. After hitting the + button, you can add remarks, show question/response, and, when available, view and score on a rubric.
  3. After hitting the + button, you can also add Bonus points in the Bonus box and then click Regrade.


Grid View Tips:
  1. If students tested on paper, you must click on the three dots to the right of the test status, and then select Force Submit before you begin grading.


How to Sort Responses for Easier Grading

1. Sort student responses by Student Name, Status, Assignment Score, Time Spent, or Date Submitted by clicking the arrows beside each column.



2. Select the class you would like to grade by clicking on Select Class near the top right of your screen, then choosing the class you would like to grade in the pop up window.



  1. Additional Notes:  From the light blue shaded portion slightly above the grading tabs, you can: Print results by clicking the Print button. Export the results by click the CSV button. Click Grading Tips for more help on grading.
