Gathering items to package together later? Click Save Question to save to a folder or your My Questions. If you need help with creating folders, refer to the first step of the document.
Ready to build a full assessment? If you have the questions for a full assessment selected, click Build Assignment to move directly to building your assessment. From there go to step You can always add more questions from that screen as well following steps 3 and above in this document.
Want to preview a question? Click Show Full Question to see a preview of the question with the correct answer selected. Click View to answer the question. Note - because this is just a single question, it will show in our default Edcite viewer, not your state assignment viewer.
3. If you clicked Build Assignment OR you go to My Questions and select your saved questions then choose Assign, you will be brought to the screen below. Click the Gear --> Basic Settings --> Mark as Common Assessment. You should see confirmation that it is now locked. Save the assignment. It is now ready for you and colleagues to give together. Click Share and choose the Edcite Schools folder to add it to a folder for your colleagues to assign from.
4. Now that the assessment is 1) locked and 2) shared into a folder, you and your colleagues can schedule the assessment following steps A - E.
A. From your top navigation bar, click Common Assessments.
B. Select the Teacher Assigned tab. You can either browse all assignments using the search filter or use the Grade and Subject folders.
C. Find the assignment and click the Assign button. If you don't see the assignment, it is either not locked or not shared to a folder you have access to.
D. The Scheduler Popover will open. You can assign by class or by student and set a start time when the assignment will be available to students. If you are using Google Classroom or Canvas, you can assign to those classes on this popover.
E. Click Assign to schedule the assignment. You will be brought to a Manage page where you can modify settings. For more details on assignment settings, click here.
